Letter from Zach Booker – Co-founder and CEO

To our friends in the ADHD community:

There’s been a lot of discussion in the news about the treatment of ADHD via virtual care. We are one of several organizations using telemedicine to support patients in their battle with ADHD. Everybody deserves access to the highest level of care without waiting weeks or months for the assessment and treatment they so badly need.

Finding affordable and timely options is something every healthcare consumer deserves, and without telemedicine, many will remain untreated. Our work is based on serving patients in partnership with healthcare organizations and primary care providers. We believe patient care is a holistic practice, not one that can be reduced to software tools alone.

ADHD is a real medical condition affecting millions of Americans, and like all medical conditions, it should be treated with patient-centric care and consideration. Whether a patient is cared for in-person or online, their healthcare provider must be licensed. There are no shortcuts in healthcare.

Our assessment is clinically rigorous, built for people who need a comprehensive psychological diagnosis providing the confidence as an in-person psychologist office visit. Our patients are encouraged to share their results with their primary care physicians. Even if they choose to work with one of our providers on a treatment plan, we emphasize the importance of including their primary care physician in their treatment journey. What matters most is patients get the timely treatment they need to live healthy, fulfilling lives.

ADHD Online believes that everybody deserves the help they need with licensed clinical resources.  We stand against the cultural norms perpetuating undiagnosed, untreated mental health, an obligation we take seriously.

Sincerely,

Zachariah Booker, Co-Founder and CEO

Curious about stimulant or non-stimulant approaches?

These terms refer to certain approaches to treat diagnosed ADHD. Mentavi Health / ADHD Online may provide stimulant approaches (certain medications under medical treatment that are generally considered Class II controlled substances) or non-stimulant approaches (medications generally not considered Class II, and/or therapy and coaching not related to medication).

A diagnosis and initial conversation with our treatment clinicians is key to the best path for you. The diagnosis is a key first step to determine if you have ADHD or other related conditions. Approximately 60% of patients with ADHD have co-occurring conditions such as anxiety or depression, for example. At the same time, patients who believe they have ADHD may not even have it. For those who do, there can be a variety of considerations into what kind of treatment works best to meet the patient where they’re at.

If you are not feeling right, your journey starts with the first step of diagnostic evaluation.

There may be a brief delay in service today between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM ET. Thank you for your patience — we look forward to assisting you shortly.
