Why do I need to take the Diagnostic Evaluation?

It’s essential to have an ADHD evaluation by a licensed health professional. At ADHD Online, every patient completes our Diagnostic Evaluation before meeting with a treatment provider. This detailed online diagnostic process mirrors traditional approaches, ensuring a thorough diagnosis and treatment plan.

This process helps clinicians tailor treatment recommendations to your specific needs, whether it’s for ADHD, anxiety, depression, or other common conditions.

No subscription is necessary to complete the diagnostic assessment or receive treatment.

  • It will take about 60-90 minutes to complete–but you can start and stop 
as frequently as you’d like, and the Assessment will save your spot!
  • You’ll answer questions about your 
daily habits, challenges, feelings, and experiences in different settings, from work to social and family, as well as some family history.
  • Most questions will focus on adult ADHD symptoms, while others explore conditions that frequently occur with ADHD, such as anxiety, depression, loneliness, Binge Eating Disorder, 
Social Media Addiction, and more.

Here's what happens after you finish the Diagnostic Evaluation:

  • Within 5 days after you complete the Assessment, you’ll receive your personalized mental health evaluation, prepared by one of our licensed psychologists in your state.
  • Our clinicians offer medical treatment across more than 40 states for ADHD and co-occurring conditions, as warranted by diagnosis.
  • At your appointment, you and your clinician will collaboratively create your treatment plan. Should medication be a necessary part of this plan, your clinician will prescribe it. Our staff will then promptly send this prescription to your chosen local pharmacy for your convenience.
  • You’ve likely heard of Adderall and Ritalin, but there are other stimulants, non-stimulants, or other forms of treatment that might be right for you.

  • Yes, following a comprehensive ADHD evaluation and diagnosis by a licensed psychologist. ADHD medications can be prescribed by our licensed clinicians, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and psychiatrists.
  • ADHD Online’s ability to prescribe online strictly adheres to FDA guidelines and state and federal laws. As a result, the services available may vary from state to state.

Misuse or abuse of any prescription drugs is dangerous. Abuse of stimulants can cause high blood pressure, blurred vision, panic attacks, headaches and potentially death. Curious about stimulant or non-stimulant approaches?

If you’re navigating ADHD or other mental health challenges, you have options. At Mentavi Health / ADHD Online, we assess what works for you. 
Some may start with non-medicated approaches like coaching or therapy.  In other cases, patients may explore medication treatment paths when warranted by diagnosis. For some diagnosed with ADHD, the treatment clinician may work with the patient to determine if stimulant approaches work best for them. Stimulant approaches are certain medications under medical treatment that are generally Class II controlled substances. Non-stimulant options are another approach that can work for many.  Medication approaches can be used in tandem with coaching or therapy.
