At ADHD Online, your safety and well-being are our top priorities. Perhaps you are curious about the degree of confidence you can have in our approach, or maybe have even heard news about concerning practices by some in the broad field of ADHD treatment.  You have found the right destination.  We want to assure you that our approach is designed to uphold the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Important Notice to Our Valued Patients image

Our process mirrors traditional, non-virtual approaches in several key respects, ensuring a thorough and careful diagnosis and treatment plan:

1. Comprehensive Online Diagnosis:

  • Before being eligible to meet with a treatment provider, every patient undergoes a detailed online diagnostic assessment. Patients are not required to sign up for a subscription in order to complete the diagnostic assessment or to receive treatment.
  • The diagnostic assessment takes between 1-3 hours to complete, includes up to 600 questions and 23 validated clinical scales using dynamic, branching logic.
  • Patient responses and their corresponding clinical scores are thoroughly reviewed by a doctorate-level licensed psychologist with expertise in ADHD and related disorders who then renders a diagnosis and recommendations. The psychologist can request follow-up information if necessary.
  • We strictly adhere to established clinical standards, and only a subset of those assessed are diagnosed with ADHD.

2. Personalized Treatment Plans:

  • Patients must meet face-to-face with an ADHD Online clinician in a virtual setting before commencing any treatment. Initial appointments are 30 minutes long and all patients are required to schedule a follow-up appointment within 30 days and at least every 90 days thereafter.
  • This meeting is crucial to discuss the diagnosis and to create a personalized treatment plan.
  • Medication, when appropriate, is not prescribed until after this consultation. Medication refills are not automatically generated and must be requested by the patient every 30 days. Patients must provide their blood pressure and heart rate when submitting a refill request.
  • Patients can also take their diagnosis to their local provider to develop a treatment plan.

3. Alternative and Supplementary Treatment Options:

  • We offer ADHD coaching paths and, in select states, therapy options as alternatives or supplements to medication.
  • Our goal is to provide flexible and comprehensive care tailored to each patient’s needs and to make referrals to in-person providers where medically appropriate.

4. Ongoing Engagement and Monitoring:

  • Patients are required to remain active in their treatment plans, with regular check-ins with their ADHD Online clinician.
  • Medication refills are contingent on these ongoing meetings to ensure continued safety and efficacy.

5. Dedicated and Qualified Clinical Team:

  • Diagnoses are always performed by licensed psychologists.
  • Our medical treatment path is managed by our specialist Primary Care Physicians and, in some cases, specialist nurse practitioners.
  • There is a clear separation between diagnosis and treatment to ensure unbiased and clinically sound decisions.

6. Safety and Quality Oversight:

  • We have a stringent process to identify and address any drug-seeking behavior, including patient discharge when necessary.
  • Our quality committee continuously monitors patient safety and clinical quality through data reviews, chart reviews, in-house education, and compliance outreach.

7. Transaction-Based Services:

  • We do not use a subscription model for our services. Patients only pay for the treatment they need, ensuring transparency, fairness, and cost effectiveness.

Our approach was built to provide the highest level of patient safety and care quality, ensuring a positive experience and the best possible outcomes for your health journey.

We are here to support you and address any concerns you may have. Thank you for trusting ADHD Online with your care.

Curious about stimulant or non-stimulant approaches?

These terms refer to certain approaches to treat diagnosed ADHD. Mentavi Health / ADHD Online may provide stimulant approaches (certain medications under medical treatment that are generally considered Class II controlled substances) or non-stimulant approaches (medications generally not considered Class II, and/or therapy and coaching not related to medication).

A diagnosis and initial conversation with our treatment clinicians is key to the best path for you. The diagnosis is a key first step to determine if you have ADHD or other related conditions. Approximately 60% of patients with ADHD have co-occurring conditions such as anxiety or depression, for example. At the same time, patients who believe they have ADHD may not even have it. For those who do, there can be a variety of considerations into what kind of treatment works best to meet the patient where they’re at.

If you are not feeling right, your journey starts with the first step of diagnostic evaluation.

There may be a brief delay in service today between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM ET. Thank you for your patience — we look forward to assisting you shortly.
