To get treatment for ADHD, you first need an official diagnosis by a psychologist in Maine. Sometimes it can take six months to get that first appointment, let alone the follow-up appointments for your assessment, diagnosis review, and treatment. And, it can cost well over $1,000 for the assessment alone.
Fortunately, at ADHD Online, we are committed to making mental health affordable and streamlining the process in Maine.
Therapy can be an important part of your ADHD journey, either in conjunction with medical treatment and coaching, or on its own.
If you engage in therapy with us, we will connect you with a clinician in your state for a 50-minute visit via a HIPAA-compliant Zoom account. Each visit will focus on you, your ADHD journey, and how you can live your best life with ADHD. You and your therapist will determine how often to meet during your first appointment.
With telehealth, you can get high-quality mental health care without all of the complications and anxiety of an in-person appointment. Our patients report some of their favorite parts of telehealth with us include:
80% of people diagnosed with ADHD all suffer from related mental health conditions. Our Smart Assessment screens for a growing list of co-conditions, including anxiety, depression, binge eating, obsessive compulsive disorder, loneliness, and problematic social media use, so that your treatment can be as specific and personalized to your needs as possible.
The best way to know for sure whether or not you have ADHD, is to take our comprehensive Smart Assessment. But if you’re looking for an ADHD symptom list, well we’ve got that too.
Typical symptoms include difficulty paying attention, mood swings, disorganization, hyperactivity, hyperfocus, impulsivity and creativity. You can learn more about each of these on our symptoms list.
Keep in mind that many of these symptoms are things anyone can experience in daily life. Who hasn’t forgotten an appointment, procrastinated on an annoying task, or made a hasty decision? One missed deadline does not mean you have ADHD. As you read this list, jot down which symptoms describe you most of the time to get a better sense of whether or not you might be struggling with ADHD.
You’ve likely heard of Adderall and Ritalin, but there are other stimulants, non-stimulants, or other forms of treatment that might be right for you. Learn more about your options.
