How to pay for your care.

We keep payment straightforward: no insurance billing to navigate, a plan that fits your budget, and help getting reimbursed if you have out-of-network benefits.

Direct pay is always an option. You can pay for your evaluation and care directly at checkout, with no insurance steps required. Reimbursement through your insurance is optional.

We don't bill insurance directly

Mentavi doesn’t bill insurance companies on your behalf. That’s what keeps pricing clear and your evaluation moving without a pre-authorization delay. Here’s what that means for you.

Itemized Receipts for reimbursement

You can request an itemized receipt to submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend contacting your carrier in advance to confirm eligibility for out-of-network mental health or tele-health services. Or, you can leverage the Mentaya Benefits Checker to save some time.

Reimbursement isn’t guaranteed.

HSA & FSA

Many patients use HSA or FSA funds to pay for eligible services. Eligibility depends on your specific plan, so confirm coverage requirements with your plan administrator before scheduling.

Medicaid & Medicare

Mentavi doesn’t bill Medicaid or Medicare directly. Coverage and reimbursement policies vary — see our Medicaid FAQ for more detail.

A note on payment methods

We’re not able to accept CareCredit health and wellness cards. If your HSA/FSA card is declined at checkout, reach our support team via live chat during business hours.

Need help with billing or payment? Email [email protected] for support.

Support hours are Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST. Closed on federal holidays.

Getting reimbursed by your insurance

Even though we don’t bill insurance directly, many patients still recover part of their cost through out-of-network benefits. After your visit, you can request an itemized receipt and submit it to your insurance provider yourself — or let a third party platform, Mentaya, handle the paperwork for you.

How to Leverage Mentaya

Mentaya, a third party service that streamlines getting reimbursed through your out-of-network benefits, can help. It’s a good fit if you:

  • Have out-of-network benefits
  • Feel overwhelmed by itemized receipts and insurance
  • Submitted itemized receipts but weren’t reimbursed
  • Want to skip the paperwork entirely

Here’s how it works:

  1. Check your out-of-network benefits.
  2. Follow the prompt and sign up for Mentaya’s services.
  3. The Mentavi team enters your reimbursable services into the Mentaya platform.
  4. Mentaya submits the claim and follows up with your insurer.
  5. If your claim is approved, you will be notified by Mentaya, and reimbursed directly by your insurance.
  6. If your claim is denied, you will be notified by Mentaya.

Mentaya charges 5% per successfully submitted claim, which covers paperwork, denials, and calls with insurers. If a claim isn’t submitted successfully, their fee is fully refunded.

Coverage, reimbursement, and out-of-network eligibility vary by plan. We recommend confirming details with your insurance carrier or plan administrator before scheduling. Reimbursement, whether you submit an itemized receipt yourself or use a partner service like Mentaya, is not guaranteed. Payment plan and buy-now-pay-later availability may vary by service and location.

Curious about stimulant or non-stimulant approaches?

If you’re navigating ADHD or other mental health challenges, you have options. At Mentavi Health / ADHD Online, we assess what works for you.
Some may start with non-medicated approaches like therapy.  In other cases, patients may explore medication treatment paths when warranted by diagnosis. For some diagnosed with ADHD, the treatment clinician may work with the patient to determine if stimulant approaches work best for them. Stimulant approaches are certain medications under medical treatment that are generally Class II controlled substances. Non-stimulant options are another approach that can work for many.  Medication approaches can be used in tandem with therapy.

The key is starting with our diagnostic evaluation, which is reviewed by a qualified healthcare professional. Getting clarity on what you’re experiencing is the first step toward feeling more in control. From there, you and your treatment team can determine the best path—whether that’s therapy, medication, or a combination that works for your life.

If you’re not feeling right, let us walk alongside you by starting with the diagnostic evaluation.
There may be a brief delay in service today between 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM ET. Thank you for your patience — we look forward to assisting you shortly.
