Let’s improve the way everyone receives
mental health care

Mentavi Health, the parent company of ADHD Online, is conducting a study of our online asynchronous Mentavi Health ADHD Diagnostic Evaluation (Diagnostic Evaluation). We will compare the accuracy of our investigational online asynchronous Diagnostic Evaluation to a virtual in-person clinical interview performed by a licensed doctorate-level psychologist.

We are looking for volunteers to take two ADHD assessments (see eligibility details). The first one will be virtual face-to-face (also called synchronous) with a licensed clinician. This assessment will take approximately 60 minutes. One week later, you will take the trial online (asynchronous) Diagnostic Evaluation through the Mentavi platform. The Diagnostic Evaluation will take approximately 90 – 180 minutes. There are no costs associated with participating in this assessment study. We will waive the normal Diagnostic Evaluation Fee (US $179) for all selected participants.

Participating in the study

Once you’ve been selected for the study, you will receive an email explaining the following steps:

You will receive and email with an Informed Consent document for you to sign.

When we receive your signed consent form, we will email you a link to schedule a time as soon as possible to meet with one of our clinicians to complete the 60-minute virtual face-to-face ADHD assessment.

  1. During this assessment, the clinician will ask you questions to gather information on which a diagnosis can be made.

One week later, we will send you a link to set up or access your Mentavi portal account, which will allow you to take the Diagnostic Evaluation

Take our Diagnostic Evaluation online at your own pace (typically takes about 2 hours)

  1. You will answer a series of questions that adapt based on your answers. The questions may or may not differ from those you answer during the telehealth assessment.

Within 5 days, we will send you the results of your Mentavi Health Diagnostic Evaluation via your Mentavi portal account.

Once you’ve received your results, you can choose to work with one of our clinicians to develop a personalized treatment plan* or take the results to your preferred provider.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • There are no costs associated with participating in the assessment study.
  • We will waive the Diagnostic Evaluation Fee (US $179) for all participants.
  • We’ll send reminders throughout the process to help you stay on track.
  • If you receive an ADHD diagnosis, you can work with one of our clinicians in your state to discuss treatment*
  • Based on the results of this study, we plan to produce a summary research report. This report will only include aggregate results from the study, not details on individual participants. Your privacy will be fully protected.
  • We will follow up with you within six months to see how things are going. This is voluntary.

ELIGIBILITY DETAILS

In order to participate, you must:

  • Be 19+ years old
  • Speak English as the primary language
  • Reside in the one of the 50 United States or DC (residents of Puerto Rico and other territories are not eligible to participate)
  • You must never have been previously diagnosed with a thought disorder (e.g., schizophrenia, psychosis), dementia, or a severe developmental disability (e.g., autism spectrum disorder)
  • Not current ADHD Online or Mentavi Health patients

Receiving your results

You will only receive the results of your asynchronous Diagnostic Evaluation, typically within five days of completing it. These results will indicate whether or not you have been diagnosed with ADHD and include the results for other conditions, such as anxiety, depression, etc., if present.

The results will not be considered final until our clinicians have verified that your results from both assessments match. Once this has been done, you will be notified and sent the next steps based on the outcome.

Curious about stimulant or non-stimulant approaches?

If you’re navigating ADHD or other mental health challenges, you have options. At Mentavi Health / ADHD Online, we assess what works for you. 
Some may start with non-medicated approaches like coaching or therapy.  In other cases, patients may explore medication treatment paths when warranted by diagnosis. For some diagnosed with ADHD, the treatment clinician may work with the patient to determine if stimulant approaches work best for them. Stimulant approaches are certain medications under medical treatment that are generally Class II controlled substances. Non-stimulant options are another approach that can work for many.  Medication approaches can be used in tandem with coaching or therapy. 
 
The key is starting with our diagnostic evaluation, which is reviewed by a qualified healthcare professional. Getting clarity on what you’re experiencing is the first step toward feeling more in control. From there, you and your treatment team can determine the best path—whether that’s coaching, therapy, medication, or a combination that works for your life.

Join Our ADHD Research Study

Mentavi Health is conducting ADHD research and is accepting a limited number of participants. Participants in our clinical study will get an ADHD Assessment at no cost. 

Who can join?
  • Age 19+
  • Primary language is English
  • Not previously diagnosed with ADHD
  • Not a current patient of ADHD Online or Mentavi Health
  • A resident of any of the 50 US states or DC (not including Puerto Rico or other territories)
